Responsibilities

The Planning Commission is a seven-member voluntary citizen advisory board that advises the City Council on planning activities and land use issues. The commission discusses and evaluates development and building proposals, conditional use permit applications, proposed changes to the comprehensive plan or zoning map, and related planning issues. The commission makes recommendations to the City Council according to the goals and objectives of the comprehensive plan and requirements of the zoning, subdivision, and sign ordinances.
